Troott Mobile App

Introduction
Troott is a mobile app built for sermon lovers — people who want to grow spiritually. Built with React Native, it puts every sermon you love, old and new, right in your pocket. Ad free. Organised. Ready when you are.
My Role
I led the end-to-end product and design engineering for Troott — from initial wireframes through to production. I was responsible for the React Native architecture, the audio playback engine using React Native Track Player, and the complete UI design system.
Design Process
- Research and discovery — understanding sermon listeners and their pain points
- Information architecture and user flows
- Wireframing and low-fidelity prototyping
- High-fidelity UI design and component library
- React Native implementation and playback integration
- User testing and iterative refinement
Output

Outcome
Troott launched to a growing community of gospel sermon listeners. The app reduced the time users spent searching for sermons significantly, and the organised library system helped ministers reach audiences they had never connected with before. The playback engine handled large audio files reliably across both iOS and Android.
